Principle Consultant – Quietly Consulting

Gerard has led some of Australia’s largest NFPs, most recently as CEO of Vision Australia, and served on many government and industry bodies. He was AIM Professional Manager of the Year (Qld) 2001 and PM’s Employer of the Year 2006. Gerard chairs the National Roundtable of Nonprofit Organisations and Corporate and Governance Committee, Vision 2020.

Gerard Menses will chair this panel discussion about NFPs, Business and Social Projects, featuring panel members Valerie Lyons and David Curd and Anne Bryce.

CEO’s Day Roundtable

Gerard will facilitate a Roundtable discussion about tackling the unspoken at board meetings.

NFPs, and The Productivity Commission (Keynote Panel)

This panel will explore the role of the Productivity Commission and various advisory bodies such as the Australian Government’s Not-For-Profit Sector Reform Council in shaping the non-profit sector as we move toward 2020.

Ensuring Good Chair/CEO Relationships (Workshop)

Whatever the model of governance, the relationship between the CEO and Chair of the Board is pivotal to the effective governance and operation of the organisation. This workshop will explore ways to ensure the relationship is strong, inclusive of the Board and Executive, and deals with the inevitable points of tension.
There will be opportunity for interaction and problem solving.
