Better Boards is pleased to present "AI Governance for Charity and Not-for-Profit Boards" in partnership with Vera Visevic, Partner @ Mills Oakley.

Boards, executives and staff of charities and not-for-profits are increasingly using and being told to incorporate AI or be left behind. Join us for a panel discussion on governance considerations relating to the adoption, implementation and management of AI for charities and not-for-profits.

Led by Vera Visevic, Partner in the NFPs, Human Rights and Social Impact team at Mills Oakley, the panel discussion will include the expertise of Llewellyn Spink (AI Corporate Governance Lead at the Human Technology Institute at the University of Technology Sydney), Bel Temby (Founder and Website Partner at Digital Services Lab and co-founder and board member of The Mallacoota Wilderness Collective Inc) and Tammy Ven Dange (Strategic IT Advisor for Associations and NFPs, Roundbox Consulting). Our panellists are immersed in the adoption and governance of AI and will speak to the practical successes, challenges and future of the governance of AI.

This webinar will equip board members and executives with the learnings of the charities and not-for-profits sector so far, and provide insight into:

  • Recent case studies of AI implementation and management;

  • Things to consider when incorporating AI into your practices, including ensuring AI is implemented and managed in a way that is purposeful, appropriate for the size and resources of your organisation, and responsive to the ever-changing digital environment;

  • Effective strategy setting and measuring the use and management of AI; and

  • The future of AI and the developments that that could impact the sector.

This webinar will highlight the rapidly evolving role and challenges of AI in the charity and not‑for‑profit sector, and give leaders governance insights from our panellists who are already navigating or assisting charities and not-for-profits to address these challenges. Board members and executive will leave better equipped to make strategic decisions regarding AI, and plan confidently for the future.
