What you need to know

Aaron Goldsworthy
Consultant @ Australian Strategic Services
Better Boards is pleased to present "Charity Establishment, Registration & Compliance" in partnership with Aaron Goldsworthy, Consultant @ Australian Strategic Services.
Do you have a clear understanding of what ‘not-for-profit,’ ‘charity,’ and ‘deductible gift recipient’ mean for you as a director?
These terms have distinct legal definitions, each with specific considerations, registration, and compliance requirements. Getting them right is essential—not just for your organisation’s operations, but also for your legal obligations and potential liabilities.
This panel webinar will host leading Australian charity lawyers who will step through and explore these important foundational concepts that not-for-profit and charity directors and leaders must understand.
This webinar will explore:
- the requirements placed on registered charities
- directors’ obligations in respect of governance and reporting, such as ACNC Governance Standards
- how to establish a charity effectively
- future changes for the sector and the impact on legal and regulatory compliance.
Join Aaron Goldsworthy, Elizabeth Lathlean, and Dan Saunders for an extremely insightful discussion that will help charity directors genuinely understand their obligations.
